Yasmin Crawford

Yasmin Crawford has worked as both a scientist and an artist and now works in the 'Grey Space' between these disciplines. Combining camera-less techniques with digital edits, the artist not only challenges the norm but dislocates the environment around us. In this profound and poignant image, the human figure confronts head-on the vision of our future planet - perhaps an ice-age, fragmented and hostile.

We are living in the new Anthropocene, an era of incredible change, the impact on nature, its energy dissipated awkwardly and randomly around us whilst technology advances faster than human wisdom.
