'I primarily consider myself a painter, my methods derive from those of the Flemish and Italian old masters. I find in these techniques the perfect balance between praxis and poetry. For me painting is a way of representing the inner, subjective, intuitive, imaginative experience in an artefact, the artwork itself may become a representative embodiment of a way of seeing and relating to the world.'
