Roger Kite works in a number of different media, mainly on canvas or on paper. Although much of his work could be described as abstract, the subject matter is almost always nature, though not usually directly represented. This may be geological, botanical, or biological. The palette is restricted so that the colour will energise the paintings and he encourages viewers to experience the paintings in person and interact with them.
"I want people who see my work to use their imagination and draw their own conclusions, there is no prescription for what they are supposed to see or make of the paintings." - Roger Kite.
