After the remarkable success and growth of the prize in 2022 and 2023, The Hari Art prize will be held for its third year as part of the hotel’s annual rolling art programme, curated by A Space for Art, celebrating the global roster of artistic talent attracted to London.

A Space for Art are very pleased to collaborate again with award-winning luxury hotel The Hari in Belgravia.  We are delighted to announce the return of The Hari Art Prize for 2024 with a cash prize of £10,000 awarded to the finalist. The two runners up will receive £3000 in second place, and £1000 in third place.  The prizes are generously donated by The Hari’s CEO and Chairman, Dr. Aron Harilela.

The prize offers entrants access to some of the most esteemed figures of the art world.  We are honoured to announce this year's prestigious judging panel:

 

Dr Aron Harilela - CEO The Harilela Hotel Group

Irene Bradbury, Senior Director of White Cube

Anthony Wilkinson - Director of Anthony Wilkinson Gallery

Hector Campbell - Art historian, curator and writer based in London

Tom Rowland - Art Dealer and Director of Tom Rowland Gallery

Melissa Digby-Bell - Head of Curatorial, A Space for Art

 

Having curated The Hari London’s public spaces since its opening in 2016,  A Space for Art have established the property as a leading player in London’s hotel art scene. This life changing prize is reflective of the hotel’s continued dedication to offering equal opportunities for all, while remaining in alignment with its artistic ethos.

 

APPLICATION CRITERIA & INSTRUCTIONS

  • The prize is open to all applicants who have graduated within the last five years (2019-2024), or art students who are currently studying, from UK art colleges.
  • There are no age restrictions.
  • There is no fee to apply.
  • Up to 4 artworks can be submitted, via high-res jpegs of the artworks uploaded to the dedicated platform. Any artworks submitted need to be located in the UK.
  • Applications need to include a brief biography about the artist, and a brief statement about their work and practice. Please include instagram handles and website addresses where applicable.
  • Applications now open until 23 June 2024.
  • Due to the high volume of applications we are not able to respond to each individual applicant. If your application is successful and you have made the shortlist of artists you will be contacted in August.
  • All shortlisted artists will be invited to exhibit a work in The Hari Art Prize Shortlist exhibition which will be on view at The Hari Hotel in September.
  • A VIP Awards Event will be hosted at the hotel in November to announce the winner, and the two runners-up.
